Had a blast filming ‘Mark Hughes – Redemption’ for the BBC. Was lucky enough to interview some of the greats of football, who talk with great warmth, depth and insight – David Beckham, Sir Alex Ferguson and Gary Lineker. And of course the man himself – Sparky. The documentary focusses on his early years in his small Welsh village of Ruabon, before his climb to stardom at Manchester United, his fall from grace at Barcelona, then his triumphant return and redemption at United, as the force behind their victory over Barcelona in 1991’s Cup Winner’s Cup.
